Relaxed Modern
These highly corrected, highly telecentric fast full frame lenses give modern Cookes, Signatures and Supremes a run for their money. We credit Tokina for embracing a more gentle aesthetic with their single rather than multi coated front element thereby relaxing the flare resistance. With the single coat front elements these lenses offer all VFX friendly attributes of modern glass, along with the consistent reliability of modern glass, but with lower contrast and desirable flare character. This requires large and somewhat heavy housings compared to what we're able to do with ZERO Optik — but in line with Cooke S8i and Arri Signature Primes.
