RAW Take:
The Original

The first vintage lenses widely used by cinematographers to 'take the edge off' digital sensors. These legendary British purpose built cinema lenses from the late 1940s and early 1950s were well past their prime by the time digital sensors became truly viable for professional motion pictures. However, their aberrations which performed poorly on film — looked fantastic on digital. British-based TLS made them set-friendly with housings that mirror Cooke's own S4 housings, creating a near perfect match and becoming 'The Original' modern vintage lens.
